More Work To Be Displayed This Fall

Several newly created works of mine, as well as some older, established work, will be on display August 20 through October 15, 2010, via an Art St. Louis curated exhibit presented at the St. Louis Development Corporation.  The location of the exhibit is the public reception area of the SLDC, located downtown at 1015 Locust Street in St.

Prints Showing in Richmond Heights, Missouri

I am happy to announce that three prints of mine have been selected to be displayed at the community center of Richmond Heights, Missouri.  Two b&w prints and one color print will be shown at "The Heights", 8001 Dale Avenue, from January 15 until March 15, 2010.  All three of the prints are handsomely framed, and all three are for sale.

The two b&w prints are called "Late Harvest" and "Winter? Figures!", and are reminiscent of Kodalith prints in the old "film" days.

what is 'imagery', anyway?

Aesthetically, just what is 'imagery', anyway? It is, in fact, a very simple idea that is somewhat difficult to explain. In it's most basic terms, it is the act of creating images, of course, as through drawing or painting or photography, etc. Images can be direct representations of people, places , and things of course, but they can also be symbols that evoke a particular thing, such as an emotion or feeling, or a memory, or a quality. Such an image can represent a 'picture' of that thing whether or not it 'looks' exactly like that thing or not.
